Ed Earharts Story

Our 1939 Chevy Sedan Delivery Master Deluxe belonged to my
wifes brother about 22 years ago,
when he passed away(about 22 years ago) my wife and I bought it from her parents. We had
the car
for a few years when we had to sell it to another family member due to owing taxes. A few
years later
we had some money, and bought it back. We were so glad to get it back, as it had
sentimental value
to us, even though it didn't look like much. About 5 years ago we decided that
we could afford to start
fixing it up. We started with the motor, and had a friend help build it for us,
shortly after finishing it he
passed away suddenly. We stripped it to bare metal, and realized we had a chore
ahead of us.
After lots of body work, repairs, and many long nights we had it ready to primer.
When it was time to
paint (after many weeks of picking the colors) we finally painted it (in our garage).
A few months later we
had the interior done at a local upholstery shop in Cottonwood, CA. We then had
it pin striped with our
company name on it, and now it's done! As you can see after about 5 years of
hard work, it has finally
paid off. And this car definitely is priceless to us, as it has a lot of
sentimental value.
There are lots of people out there who own classic cars, but have they built one?
Thanks a lot!
